Around the Eagle are the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, ”1 TROY OUNCE”, “.999”, & “FINE SILVER”. In the center of the Eagle is a revolutionary security feature the Scrambled Indicia (or SI). Using micro engraving technology a unique mark that is only seen when holding up a special decoder lens produced by the mint becomes visible, making counterfeiting difficult and non-economical.
